Started a caliper replacement on the daughters car ... tried a 13mm socket that slipped with some force .. thought it looked a little worn. Not having a 13mm wrench drove to the autoparts store .. not open yet ... drove to home depot ...only way to get a decent 13mm is with a whole kit from Husky which looked pretty good. Got home and before openning the $23 package tried a 1/2 inch socket purchased from Western Auto in the sixties. Perfect fit. I would have stripped the bolt for sure. So why a SAE on a volvo?
Any other mechanic revelations?
