I was just quoted $850 to replace a heater blower motor and that does not include the switch and resistor if needed. If you add those parts in it will be $1,000 + tax! Is this insane or what?

All I know now is that when I turn on the fan switch I got nothing, nada, zip at any setting. Is there a way to see if just the switch is bad by jumpering 12v somewhere?
