Tail/brake light frustration, easy fix 200 1984

Frustrated with lousy connections for the lights in my wagon... went the hard wire route. Was gonna try to solder the wires... then thought otherwise. Just some tin snips.




This the root of my problem. Broken tab in the tail light housing.






Just cut the side of the positive tab, so...






The spade clip fits.

I only did the positive side of each bulb, but it would be easy enough to do the negative side in similar fashion.
