brake lights out - tips? 900

Hi all.

I noticed on the drive home that my brake lights are out - this is on a 1993 940 wagon. The third light on the hatch still works, but the two main lights have failed. The bulbs are still good. Anyone got a hot tip for me before I get out the multimeter and the wiring diagrams?
