Torque Converter

Can I install an AW71L or AW72L torque converter in an AW70L automatic transmission? I'm looking for better acceleration from a standing start.
FYI, the AW70L is installed in a 1972 1800E. The AW71L/AW72L torque converters have about 500 RPM higher stall speed than the AW70L torque converter as far as I can tell.
