headlight switch operates wipers solved - really 200 1987

I figured out why turning on the headlights made the wipers run. There was a broken ground connector on the passenger side headlights.

I'm sure that there is a lesson in problem solving here, but I don't know what it is. The headlights worked fine and the wipers were over active. Out of curiousity I'll have to look at the wiring diagram again to see how the headlights found a ground through the wipers.
