'86 240 engine into '90 740 turbo wagon?

Can the 240 go in the 740 (low oil pressure)? I'm junking my '86 240 (rusted out), ran great, changed the oil regularly, 160k. Essentially the same engine, right? But more work, all peripherals swapped out. Or maybe just find a good low mileage 740? Thanks.
