Blue coolant consensus

Hey all,
We just got a '96 960 with 153K. The coolant stinks-literally! What is the consensus on Volvo blue coolant? I have had good luck with Prestone/store brand green coolant even in our V90,which we had from 2002 until early '07-put at least 100K on that car before it had a disagreement with a telephone pole.
