Hi,
I've got a 1992 940 sedan that doesn't seem to heat the interior very well. Our 240's are almost hot, the output on this seems lukewarm at best- doesn't seem to defrost very well. Engine temp appears to be fine. Before I start digging in, I wanted to make sure that my expectations of warmth are reasonable and I'm not chasing a design flaw. So, how warm is the output on your 940, especially in comparison to a 240?
Background: This is our second winter in the car. It definitely heats but doesn't seem hot enough. Last winter we noticed it but it seems worse now- or maybe we've just been in a cold spell. :) I changed the heater core last summer due to a leak. What's most likely? The coolant valve under the hood, the control unit, a bad vaccum host to the valve?
Thanks!
Lyle
