Folks,
I have a chance to purchase 4 rims tonight. I haven't seen them yet; they were on Craiglist, described as " 14" Volvo rims, rusty but only cosmetically." The guy wants $80 for them. I currently have 14" steel rims on my car, and want to buy this second set to use for snow tires that I've already purchased but haven't mounted.
My question is... if I verify that the bolt pattern and spacing is the same, does that guarantee that these rims will fit the car? If they're "Volvo" rims, does that mean that any concerns regarding offset, etc., are nill? I emailed the seller and asked him what car they came off of, but he didn't know; he ended up with them when he bought a set of mounted snows he wanted from someone else who included the rims rather than remove the tires prior to the sale.
AND.. if the rims DO fit... is $80 a decent price for four serviceable, yet probably ugly winter rims?
Thanks.. I'm going to go pick them up this evening. Any advice prior would be greatly appreciated.
Best to all.
