92 240 trunk lid leaking/ also moldy drain tubes 200

Have discovered trunk lid leaks along forward edge. At first thought it happened because parked facing downhill so that water could back up in channel on trunk lid perimeter, but it also seemed to occur when parked on flats. When did a "dollar bill test" to see if gasket tight it seemed fairly firm, but not sure if tight enough--if bulb gasket getting compressed enough. Also noticed underneath of forward edge of trunk lid was moldy. Is organic growth enough to prevent a solid seal? There are adjustments for lowering lid, as well as fore/aft adjustment. Before I start adjusting things, has anyone experienced this, and found solution?

Also, the two @1" clear vinyl drain tubes look very moldy on the inside, which might enable mold spores to spread nupward into the drain channel. Tubes fits very tightly over metal nipples so concerned about breaking if pry off. What is best way to clean these: vinegar or bleach (or something else) solution fed from drain tube bottom; plug bottom and feed drain channel from above; cut off tubes just below nipples (looks like enough extra tube to reinstall after cutting off nipple piece)?

Thanks.
