High Mileage Driveline 200 1986

Hello everyone; I've just had my rear TABs and torque rod bushings replaced, and the difference is jaw-dropping! I also asked the local Volvo specialists to diagnose an intermittent clicking noise that I hoped was bushing-related, but no: They say it's a bad center U joint AND a shot center support bearing bushing. So far. And we won't know more until it's in pieces, of course...

To my knowledge, nothing has ever been disassembled or renewed aft of the AT. I've also read repeatedly that the Volvo U joint just never goes bad. We have 388,000 on the odometer. But I'm reluctant to swallow any diagnosis before talking to you folks first.

The clicking continues. It's certainly driveline-related, most noticeable on decel and coasting at low speed. Any opinions/laws/orders you've got will be appreciated and applied. Thanks.
