HI Guys.....anybody see a problem with running with a frozen ( boot torn) 36mm piston ATE on the rear of a 88 740gle wagon with new rotors for a few days?
I hit brakes with half the caliper loaded and the frozen side didn't move.
Inside piston drivers side and pad not touching or wasn't when changed pads.
I threw in an pad that was close to fitting so it wouldn't rattle to much and just in case piston un froze (if such a thing is possible) I'd get pretty good stopping power with no noise.
Also I read somwhere where volvo doesn't sell or discontinued the 36mm ATE and encourages the 38 or 40mm relacement.
what happens if mix rear with say a 36 and a 38 mm ?
thanks much
Mark
