I recently managed to break a key off in the ignition cylinder while my steering wheel was locked on my 1992 940 Turbo sedan. The key refused to turn because the steering wheel lock was engaged, making it impossible to start the car. They tip of the key was so far embedded in the ignition cylinder that it was impossible to get out.
To make a long story short I ended up breaking a piece of cast aluminum within my steering column (the part the ignition module slides into) when I was taking the ignition module out. I pulled the piece out of my 1985 Volvo 760 Turbo sedan parts car and am concerned they are incompatible (I can't do a side-by-side comparison as the broken one is still in the 1992).
I've linked a few pictures of the one from the 1985:

Does anyone know if this part will work in my 1992?
