coil springs rattle after front strut change 900 1993

Just had front struts replaced and the car rides great - only problem is I've got a heck of a rattle from my right front coil spring now, and a slight one from the left. If you hit the passenger side wheel with just one hand, it's pretty loud - never mind going over bumps! Anyone else had this happen? I'm taking it back to the place tomorrow, I'm interested to see if folks have an idea of what was done wrong to make this happen, also if it's a safety issue for the ride back. Thanks!
