Bosal front Muffler fitment issue 200

Ordered Volvo 240 Exhaust System Kit from FCP Groton.
Problem is the Bosal front muffler inlet does not fit over the original equipment cat pipe as the two are of the same diameter (2"). Noticed that the muffler's inlet and outlet are exactly the same size. Is this a manufacturing error by Bosal? Any way to correct this short of sending it all back to FCP Groton? I've replaced the mufflers twice before with Walkers with no issues. Thought I'd try Bosal hoping it would last longer but can't get it on.
