A cam seal replacement is pending and so I decided to check on the flame trap , the oil box and associated tubings. After removing the flame trap which was not obstructed by carbon goo I inserted a tube into the tube coming up from the oil box . I removed the oil filler cap and put my ear at the opening on the valve cover. I then blew into the tube which I had inserted and I could hear the sound of my blowing with no appreciable resistance .This indicates that the oil box has no restrictions .The only thing that was clogged was the brass nipple on the manifilod that has a vacuum hose running from it to the small nipple on the flame trap. I removed it ( 11mm) and cleaned it thoroughly. I started the engine and confirmed that there was vacuum.
