Hi Guys-
I'm a relative newbie tot he board, having picked up a 544 in Feb that I've been slowly cleaning up. Well, I've been offered and accepted a job that is going to move me from Durham, NC to Portland, OR(ipd land!). As much as I love my 544, I recognize I've not done enough work yet that I cant start over, so rather than pay the $1500 it'll take to move it, I'd rather sell this one and buy one when i get settled in out there. This is the first place i've really offered it up (sent one or two personal mails to guys who've been helpful with it), but I've enjoyed reading this board so I wanted to offer it up here before I just craigslist it.
Anyone need a project?
state of the car is as follows:
B-16 engine not running - mostly removed (got everything detached and just need to pull the actual block). Floor pans need replacing, Body and trunck are good and free of cancer, just normal rust wear with the exception of one spot by the drives side of the windshield. Interior has been cleaned out (was a mess when i got it). Car rolls has no brakes though (I've using the tranny & a chock to keep it parked). Has a radio unit in it, no idea if it works. Hmm what else? Oh, the propping hinge was busted when i got it and i did replace that. Didn't come with Keys or a title and given how much work i had ahead of me, i've not worried about either to date. several spare parts, all of which i'll include.
thats all i can think of for now, but feel free to ping me with questions or offers. I have probably a total of $1250 in the car and would like to get $1000 for it, though i'm not going to be firm on the price - i'd rather it just got a good home and someone who'll fix her up.
The back story is I found this car on craigslist - it had been sitting in a barn for 31 years when I found it. The guy had bought it off someone, toyed with the engine, ran it once and seized the motor, then parked it. It got some sun damage on one side that was exposed. By the time he decided to sell it he'd lost the keys and any paperwork and was basically just looking to clear his land so he could sell the property.
here's the shots i've take to date:

on a side note, any brickboarders in the pacific NW know of a 444 or 544 for sell? :)
