We made it to the Tulsa Midsommar meet in the Yellow Peril without any serious incidents and only moderate stress.
Last year it was announced "If you want to win a prize next year, come in a 140/164!)
(There was one 142 last year.)
Apparently too many people took it seriously since there were two really nice 164s and 3 140s this year.
The Yellow Peril was definitely the least beautiful in the class but not bad enough to merit the Bud Tugley award.
I think I need to fumigate the car - a nest of very small ants has colonized under the floormat.
I have showed up with a variety of red bites and seem to have another one or two every time I drive it.
So we took a prize with our V70T5 wagon instead! (only 3 in that class)
As usual there were LOTS of 1800s, ALL of them really nice - hard class to judge!
There was only ONE 544 and only ONE 122 this year. I'll bet there will be more next year!
The Rally this year was really great - an educational tour of some of the sites along OLD Route 66 across downtown Tulsa.
I think we had an advantage, having lived in the area for many years. It was really fun!
The meet was great and the venues spectacular. Kudos to Jack Connolly, Scott Peper and whoever else was involved in the planning and setup for the meet.
