Are not 4" speakers. They do need to be pretty shallow. I didn't measure, but I'd be surprised if shallow-mount 5.25" speakers didn't fit, and I'd be tempted to think that Infinity's shallow mount 6.5" speakers (REF6022SI) might work with a 1/4" spacer.

As I've already got these 4" MB Quart components, I'll use a sheet of ABS plastic to make a mounting for them.
