Good Evening Folks;
I've been away for a while but now I need some help with my daughter's '92 740 Volvo with the Regina engine management system. It has developed a misfire and stalling condition when raining (even a car wash will set it off). This has been going on for the past few weeks and so far I have replaced the plugs, ignition wires, the cap and rotor and the coil. I ran the diagnostics and it says that the main computer is faulty but I cannot see how the wet conditions can set it off as the computer is inside the car. Now, when she fills the tank and adds some ISO gas line anti-freeze the car runs better. That would point to water in the gas, but again why the misfire only when it is wet? I am tearing out whatever hair I have left.
Regards;
