Seatbelt locking prematurely frustrating evening 200 1989

Without any previous warning I reach for my seatbelt and pull to engage it and it locks up. wiggle giggle it and tug and finally after much grinding i can get it atteached. I knew I saw a pictorial of a HOW for this. The grinding feels like it is trying to lock so I assume it's the spring that holds the engagement back. Get home from Work, and have at it. Slide the seat all the way forward, pull the 'U' trim away from the door, pull up the saddles and get the trim out of the way. Two of the four bolts are tough to get at with the rug peeled back but I get off the metal bracket that the belt retracter is bolted to. Finally get the retractor in my hand to do what I hope is an easy operation of putting this spring back in place. Go to remove the plastic cover and "What's this?!?!" a new kind of screw head. I guess the world didn't have enough variety with Slotted or phillips head or Allen or Torx they have to come up with what I find to be TRI-WING. Needless to say I am driving Beltless until I can get my hands on this mystery screwdriver. The local Hardware stores as well as Homedepot (Useless store) have never heard of it. I shot past my friends Auto repair shop in desperation to get this job done and he never heard of it either. What started out to be a " Hold dinner for a half hour honey" kind of a job had me driving all over the place in frustration and coming up empty, I passed on dinner and my wife was throwing water on me and watching it turn to steam. I guess for some dopey reason the power that be thought this section of the seatbelt needed to be Tamper Proof. I guess it's better that I drive with a broken belt.. I don't know.
