D24T performance upgrades? 700

Hi,
can anyone give any advice on what can be done safely to a D24T to increase performance? Is an intercooler worth it? Can the engine/head gasket (assuming its torqued correctly and in good condition) hanle more boost? How about intake or exhaust upgrades?

Thanks for any suggestions.
