We've had this nagging problem that the car will run really fine for a while and then just die on the highway, let cool ten minutes and usually fine for another while. Recently difficult to cold start and missing just before accelerating from a light. Car has just over 300,000 miles. Installed new ignition coil (Tach did not immediately go to failure upon failing) - all is well, starts immediately and no missing or side of the road excursions yet but the week is young. By the way that was the original ignition coil that took us to 300,000+ miles. Safe bet would be to change at 200,000 miles when all coolant hoses must be changed. Original ignition module was good for about 250,000 mile (Tach immediately to zero repeatedly upon failure) - that thing under the hood on the left front fender, don't forget the thermal grease.
Best wishes to all
