Re: New O2 sensor = LOST ALL POWER 700

An update and a question:

I think you have a bad new O2 sensor...

Lucid, you said there should be between .1 and 1.2 volts, engine warm and running. So I just test between the thick green wire and ground while the engine's running?

Can anybody point me to a full diagnostic/test procedure for the O2 sensor itself? I've already paid $135 for the first one, I hate to buy another one "just to see."

Since my last post 2 months ago, the car has been sitting at 2 different mechanics. It's had:
New plug wires, new distributor cap and rotor, new crank position sensor, new air filter, new intake hose, a used air intake temp sensor, "sea foam" in the gas tank (some kind of cleaner), and fuel pressure tested (between 35 and 40 PSI).

My current mechanic says my injectors are squirting instead of misting, and that he "can't be sure" that my engine bay wiring harness is ok.

He's kinda-sorta wanting to wash his hands of it...

The car runs a (LITTLE) better, but still has the same core problem: Unless the pedal is TO THE FLOOR you get very little acceleration. Once pedal is on the floor, though, the car accelerates very smoothly and powerfully.

I'm already supposed to go buy myself a new air temp sensor. I'm thinking of buying a knock sensor just for the joy of it. I'm also thinking I might pull and resolder my fuel injection and radio suppression relays just for the heck of it.

So: short of going out and buying (another) new O2 sensor, what would the Sage ones recommend I do next?

As always, thanks in advance,

Bob
