Rear Bushing Help 200

I have a 87 240 GL that has a lot of IPD parts (upper & lower Braces, Volvo Strut tower brace also,TME lowering springs, Bilstin HD Struts & shocks, stainless/teflon Brake line). While do the rear brakes I noticed the the rear trailling arm bushing are in sad shape. I have noticed the noise for a while just not ready to tackle that job. Has anyone tackle this job without the special tools? Any info on making the tools. Are the poly bushing worth the money? There is low speed virbation on the 1-2 shift that I thought was a torque converter. I sales rep from IPD described that & says a lower 240 needs the adjustable torque arms and they have the poly bushing installed. any pointer will help I'm ready to tackle it before it gets cold. Thanks in advance.
