I have looked through all the posts and FAQs on this subject and am at wits end. My wife was driving our 1990 740 GL Rex Regina and it died cold turkey and wouldn't restart. There's fuel to the fuel rail, spark at the coil, but it pulls codes 3-2-1 and 2-3-3. It has always shown a 3-2-1 due to the TSB mod. It's the 2-3-3 that I don't understand. There's 12 volts to the idle air control valve and it is opening and closing. It was replaced about 4 years ago because I was having a rough idle problem. The car cranks over and the timing belt is o.k. I have switched the radio suppression relay and still no go. All the vacuum hoses are o.k. as well. Never heard of the IACV just killing the car without some warning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
