1993 240 Coolant Temperature Sensor Issues 200 1993

My 1993 240 has been giving me a 1-2-3 trouble code, indicating a fault in the coolant temperature sensor. I checked the sensor against the resistance values given by Volvo (~2700 ohms at ~75 degrees), and checked the resistance of the wire going to the computer, both indicated that the sensor was, indeed, bad. I got a replacement sensor from Autozone, and it didn't fix the problem. Upon further inspection, the sensor was giving resistance values way lower than the Volvo specs (~1500-1700 ohms at 75 degrees), so I bought another one on eBay and ran into the same problem. Bought one more (this time from Napa)and found the identical problem. Are the Volvo values I got wrong or am I just having an unimaginable string of bad luck? Thanks, you guys always seem to come up with something.
