Should I change O2 sensor ? 700

My 91 740 sedan (regina) has 160k miles. I acquired it with 80k and as far as I know the O2 sensor has never been changed. My driving is mixed as far as highway and city and I average about 21 mpg. This seems a tad low when compared to what other Bricksters are getting . I am not heavy on my foot and my ignition /gas support items are good..air/gas filter, plugs ,wires etc. Do you think an O2 change would be of benefit? Thanks
