I recently added an auxiliary cooling fan (blow through condensor) and I have noticed a marked voltage dip when the fan comes on. It does not drop below 12 volts, but you can see the drop on the gauge, and hear the engine load. The voltage regulator is new, and all connectios are clean. Do I need an adjustable regulator, or am I seeing a normal condition? The fan is run through a Volvo relay that was standard on the 91 model with this feature. Once the fan comes to speed, the voltage returns to the normal operating range.
