Sluggish acceleration 900 1994

I own a Volvo 940 turbo diesel. It has done 120,000 miles. I have put in a new clutch, new air filter, new diesel filter. Plenty of revs, but car still very sluggish when I press the accelerator. Cannot figure out why. Any suggestions very welcome. As I live in Ireland, this is a right hand drive.
