Hello, all. My faithful 1994 940T has thrown me for a loop. Last night (at 10:00 PM!)as I was pulling into the garage it hung in reverse-after fiddling with the shift lock override I got it into the garage.I tested and bypassed the microswitch-no help. At that I decided to just remove the shift lock solenoid. I did that (finished around 2:30!),confidently started the car, shifted into reverse-and it hung again! Desparate, I found if I pushed my hand down on the left of the shifter and pressed down on a flat piece of plastic that sits parallel to the left inner side of the shift housing I could get the car into R,N,D-but not Park.I had tested the shifter while I had it up out of the box (it WAS on its side-hmm..)and it willingly slid through all gears.By the way,you can remove the key in any position now.Any ideas out there?
