We have a '90 745TI with a no start issue. It began intermittantly (sp?) Now it won't start at all. I tried pulling up codes and got only no speedo signal which I fixed. Initially the no start would correct itself after waiting 15 min. I have confirmed that the Fuel Pump Relay is working, both fuel pumps and it has a year old filter. All fuses are good. The pumps run when cranking. I checked for spark and I have a spark at the coil when cranking. The plugs are decent with very little carbon build up. I took them all out and cleaned them (2 years old) and checked the cap and wires. I couldn't find any vaccuum leaks although I dind't use the propane or starting fluid technique. I swapped the radio sup relay and no luck. I dismissed the CPS as I have spark at the coil when cranking. I disconnected the AMM and no change. I don't remember if I replaced the Fuel pres. reg. on this car last year or on the other turbo car. I didn't confirm that I have the proper flow rate. I don't smell gas when cranking or when stepping on the throttle. Any ideas other than the Fuel pres. reg? IAC stuck? I don't get a too lean or rich code.
Thanks for all of your help. I couldn't keep this fleet running if it wasn't for this board and it's members.
