EGR Catalytic Converters 200 1991

Time to replace a rattling cat before smog comes up next month. This is a stickshift 245 with 3.1 and EGR. Other than the O2 sensor fitting in the body of the cat, what the heck is the difference between EGR and non-EGR cats? Price difference is outrageous. Some seem to have the bung in the body but are still listed as non-egr. Others have the bung in the pipe and are also listed as non-egr. Others listed as for egr show the bung in the body. Ahhhh! I was under the impression that the only difference was that egr cars had the sensor in the cat. Is there something else? Any input will be appreciated as registration is next month.

P.S. Is the swivel or fixed flange the difference???
