Clock on 89 240 don't work anymore 200 1989

I removed the speedometer cluster to bypass the compensation board (actually remove it). Before I did this the closck wored great, now it is a no go. Is there a connection that can be loose? Or did it choose this coincidental time to die? Everything else is working as it should... all the lights work, speedometer, fuel guage and of course the heat indicator. The interior light works, so I assume the fuse is still good.

Any advice will be appreciated, as usual.
