My right drum seems considerably warmer (hot!) than the left. They are not dragging, car stops great. Parking brake is adjusted properly. The left adjuster feels notchy, the right turns smoothly. I can stop each wheel with the adjuster, then back off what seems to be proper amount. Front brakes are completely rebuilt and seem to work correctly.
Could the right rear be doing more braking than the left i.e. pressure differential? Could a wheel bearing cause the drum to get that hot? How about the difference in the way the adjusters feel? I read about "clicks", but wonder if this applies to the star type adjusters. These are adjusted at the bottom of the backing plate.
All flexible lines have been replaced.
Thanks for any insight!
