cd compaitability from 850 to 940 900

I have a volvo model CR-814 oem stero in this car. It has capability for a cd disk changer. Can I use the cd player shuttle from my 850? It is a Alpine model 5960 compact disk changer which is located in the trunk.Thanks Mike G
