I have had 700/900 series for years, and all but one was turbo. That 89 700 NA model was my first, and not that great of a specimen.
Now I get my 1st 200 series - a 92 wagon w/145K. I really have enjoyed the way it drives and handles, even seems better when loaded down.
Today I had to drive to Oneonta, AL and go over Chandler Mountain. I have driven up this very steep grade many times with a turbo, and would love how it would just take off and climb it easily - climbing up to 65-70 with no real effort.
Well, today as I approached the grade with the wagon, I was pleasantly surprised as I tapped it out of OD and gave it a bit of gas, watcheing it climb to 65 and keep going - not as fast as the turbo, but no slouch for sure.
I think I am going to really like this car.
