Putting a 93 940 (roller bearing) aw-71 in a 91 240 w/ aw-71 can it be done? 200

Ok, so a friend of mine blew up his 93 940 B230ft motor, and has a good condition AW-71 autotrans. From what I have read, this particular AW71 is the "Roller bearing" variety. I am guessing they are refering to the output shaft bearing set up? needles bearing vs ball bearing?? I this right?

So the following questions:

1. Do I need to change the trans x-member?
2. Is the input shaft ( engine to trans) the same length diameter etc?
3. Is the output shaft the same? Since this is the roller type, I had heard it is different
4. Will I need a different drive shaft
5. I understand the flange maybe different, is this true?

Anything else I need to know..

thanks
Geoffrey
