Looking for a recommendation of a trustworthy Independent Volvo Repair Shop in Miami FL.
Grad student daughter is now in Miami. Our family mechanic (me)is up here in Chicago metro. She needs brakes on her 940.
Looking for a hidden small shop, as she'll need more than brakes eventually.

Lifelong Volvo-philes, she and her brother have been in Swedish steel since they were born in 1983 and 1984. While a new driver at age 16, she stuck the nose of her 78 240 out of a parking lot and cut a bumper size swath down the entire side of a Pontiac. She cried, the Pontiac was totaled, the insurance adjuster thought I was joking when I showed him the broken turn signal lense, broken headlamp, and a lot of red paint on the top of the bumper. What a tank.

In a snowstorm she spun her 740 wagon into a guard rail in Bloomington IN. Her male companion said "what are we going to do?" She said, "Let's get the F out of here!" and put it in reverse....
My kids initially liked the sort of VW Bug 'hippy' style of the cars, and learned to appreciate the reliability and ruggedness. Me too
