86 240dl wagon no start 200 1986

In the begining of December my wagon left me stuck. Before it wouldn't start i was in a parking lot and when I went to leave it did not want to start after about five minutes it started just fine. Then i drove about 8 or 9 miles to another store and again when I returned it wouldn't start. So i again waited a couple of minutes then an hour then four hours later it was late and cold so I got a ride home. The next day my Dad and I with his truck towed it to my house so I could work on it. The first thing I did was check the basics spark and fuel. I quickly found that i have spark ouch. Then I pulled the fuel line at the rail and nothing there. The first thing I replaced was the fuel relay nothing changed. I tried to jump fuse #4 and #6 still nothing. Next I ran a jumper wire straight from the battery to the main fuel pump it started as soon as I pulled the jumper it died. Then I hooked everything back up the correct way and it started a half a dozen times then back to nothing. At this time is when my battery died. I have charged it but it dosen't want to turn over at all now all the other electrical stuff works (i.e.head lights. radio, heater, taillights). Now I am at A total loss please any help would be appricated thanks in advance. BTW the 25amp fuse checked good I haven't checked the holder I will do that tonight.
