exhaust replacement on 1989 740 sedan

Put in Starla replacement parts on my 740 89 sedan, everything rear of the catalytic converter. Parts went in smoothly; however, the pipe between the rear muffler and the pipe from the catalytic converter is riding too hihg, actually touching the floor above. Everything else fits very well right back to the tailpipe.

How do I lower it? Do I work with the hangers, or bend a pipe? I can't see that I installed anything improperly. Other than there being no space (and thus aan annoying rattle and I suspect danger from the hot pipe contacting the floor) the system is there very solid.

Thanks,

Brian
