Brake light switch adjustment? 200 1986

The other day I was stopped at a light and looking in my rearview mirror, was able to see my reflection in the grille of a large truck. I was not pressing too hard on the pedal and noticed no brake lights. I pressed a little harder and the lights came on. Is there any way to adjust the switch so the lights will engage with less pressure?

Thanks.
