replacing all turbo hoses? 700 1990

Several years ago my amm to turbo tube corroded and was taped at the nipple. The mechanic who did thid also had to remove a vacuum hose and said he was temporarily bypassing the turbo. So, now I want to replace all the hoses and bring my turbo to functioning mode. Should I lubricate my turbo prior to this.? Since the unit has not been operational is it wise to replace hoses and try to see how it performs? Sorry quys I'm not a mechanic.
