Electric seat problems on an 89' 760 Turbo Intercooler

Hi,

I was cleaning the interior of my family's 760 Turbo and when it came to vaccuming the area between the horizontal and vertical portions of the front passenger seat, I tilted back the vertical portion. Once I finished, I wasn't able to put it back up again.

Current situation:
The vertical portion only tilts upwards on the right side, and the left side remains still (except at one spot where it can move about 5mm), nevertheless, I can hear the electric motor on the left side buzzing. I've removed the plastic cover of the left side, but the view of the mechanism is obstructed by a metal plaque. I personally think it could be that a coin got stuck in one of the gears since to date I've found 10 French Francs, a penny from 1967, and 5 Belgium Francs while cleaning up the car (my Father used the car in France for 3 years).
