Engine cranks, but won't start 200 1987

2 days & maybe 100 miles after installing new cat & oxy sensor, the car ('87 240 GL) no start. I did the fuel pump relay bypass routine & fuel pump hum is obvious. Granted, could be the relay. This car must be LH jetronic 2.0 or 2.2 (according to Bentley), as there's no cold start valve. QUESTION: What shoots the gas into the manifold in lieu of c-s valve? It always was a real quick start for the past 2 years we've had it. It's getting spark, cuz it has almost "caught" twice in my troubleshooting. But my suspicions go with fuel delivery, or something electrical in the F-I system. I appreciate all ideas. Thanks.
