AMM problem redux 200

well I finally got back to that 85 245 I'm working on & have some more info. The thing now starts & dies with the AMM connected, will sort of run but barely accelerate & not idle with it disconnected. I replaced the flame trap & related hoses checked & replaced the plugs,& cleaned the throttle body. It acxts like it's running lean but I could not find any vacuum leaks. Fuel pressure is ok & volume seems adeqauate. No leaks at the press. reg. & it reacts normally [increse in pressure when vac. is disconnected] & the pressure holds at shutoff for 15 min before gradually dropping. I checked the throttle switch with an ohmmeter & had cotinuity between term. 2 & 18 at idle & nothing after that. Anything I'm missing in that test or is it just a bad TPS? Any help would be appreciated as the owner has been without his car for some time & has spent lot's of cash to no avail. Thanks

Mike M.
