Foot Protectors....not for reclining seats??? 120-130

I know, most of you are asking yourself....what the heck are foot protectors? They are much like the knee protector that mounts on the bottom of the dash, but the foot protects mount on the horizontal rod on the rear bottom of the front seats. So, they are designed to protect the feet or ankles of the rear seat passengers.

Necessary? Certainly not, but they are authentic Volvo accessories that I thought would be neat to install since I found a pair. I have never seen them installed on an Amazon and when I attempted to install them on my 1969 123GT I found that that horizontal rod on the bottom rear of the front seats rotates. Since the foot protectors do not fully engulf the bottom rod, regardless of how they are installed the rod is exposed when the front seat back is forward or in the upright position.

The only conclusion that I can come to is that these foot protectors were not made to fit on the 123GT type reclining seats. Does anyone out there have experience with these? Thanks for your help.

Jerry
