Is there a way to lubricate the rear window wiper spindle on wagon? 700 1992

I had my tailgate apart last night and I wondered if there was a way to lubricate the spindle the wiper rotates on. I lubed every moving mechanical part on the assembly, but wondered if the spindle could be lubed from the outside (without taking it apart again)?
