So I picked up the IPD adjustable rear torque rods for the 86 245. The old rods were very worn and allowing the rear axle to move around and handling was very poor. The trailing arm bushing are good, the shocks are good. I installed the new rods- made the same length as the rods removed. Now the driveline or rear axle is really loud. The noise a directly tied to road speed. Seems worse under load. All I can figure is that now with the better poly bushings the isolation is less and transmitting the noise even better. Any ideas on how to find out what is bad - the driveline or rear axle? Thanks.
